Low FPS

Postby Wakka Wah » Wed Jun 04, 2008 3:52 pm

Over the past year my FPS has slowly decreased from about 45 to 60 fps running max settings on Guild Wars. However now when i log in im getting about 14-15 sometimes lower based on what is happening on the screen at lowest settings. Just wondering what i can do to get it back up to par without needing to do reformat.

Also I just updated the driver for my video card so its not that.

Have you cleaned out your computer? Heat is the #1 cause of FPS related issues.

Get out a vacuum and start getting the dust out.

Ya heat issues are the biggest issues.

Other thing you might wanna do to buff up the fps is to upgrade your ram, most laptops have an external port and individual 2 gig cards sell pretty cheap if their not tuned to play with another card.

ive thought about upgrading ram, but that shouldnt be an issue, seeing i was getting 45-60fps at high settings with the current hardware. Im running a gig right now, with room to upgrade to two if i really needed too (i also dont have the money right now to do it)

I know exactly what the problem is, its pretty common. Its called PC Depression and its caused by subjecting your computer to crappy games like Guild Wars. Your computer becomes so overwhelmed by its exposure to useless media that it begins to lose interest in performing and it can eventually lead to PC death. It can also be attributed to large amounts of gay porn.
The remedy is simple:
1. Uninstall Guild Wars and burn the CD
2. Play endless hours of TF2
3. Get Foxx to send you some of his top notch porn.

Quit being a dink to Wakka, he asked for help, last time I cheked that did not constitute being a prik Kutcher. Show some respect.
