I like to stick with LG and Samsung when it comes to monitors.
Samsung 24"

LG 24"

Better response time and contract ratio on the LG, but the Samsung has more resolution.

Use promo code: EMCLRNW47 to get another $20 off that Asus. Got it in an email this morning from them. I would go with the Asus. I have the 24" version, and love it. 2 of my friends have 2 of the 25.5" monitors each, and are pleased.
Whatever you do, get something with a 2ms response time, I can point you to tests comparing 5ms to 2ms, and won't go above 2ms again now.
Oh, and in response to Foxx brand preference. I like both of those brands as well, but as most of us know, these panels are made by a handful of manufacturers, and quite often only one manufacturer makes a certain panel size so all brands are using the same panel. Electronics can make a difference, but only so much as long as you avoid really trashy brands. If you want to get hardcore, research who makes the 25.5" panels at that res and which are preferred.
